MATA: BUS RAPID TRANSIT – Fixed Route Ridership Change (2011-23)

Using the National Transit Database, results from a survey of overall fixed route bus ridership, of all cities that opened bus rapid transit (BRT) services, after 2011 and before 2020 are shown below. The survey resulted in 16 cities.

On average, fixed route ridership declined by 6.4% from 2011 to 2019. After 2020 and COVID, ridership further declined across the survey group.
